This game features teenage girl protagonists who possess magical abilities and are referred to as "magical girls" (魔法少女) or "witches" (魔女) throughout the story. The gameplay taking place in the courtroom is referred to as the "Witch Trial" (魔女裁判) within the game's fictional world, and is not intended to be discriminatory toward any real-world groups or minorities.

As a part of the investigation and courtroom experience, the game contains depictions of violence, including murder scenes. While most violent depictions appear as text descriptions or indirect visual references that can be avoided through player choices during gameplay, some violent imagery is presented directly during investigation and trial sequences required for story progression. These scenes might also serve as evidence during trials and may be referenced multiple times during the trial sequences. Violence and gore, however, is mostly presented through artistic, unrealistic imagery without using jump scare tactics in order to reduce psychological impact while retaining the game's atmosphere.
