The later stages of the game have bosses and enemies that are zombies, and they are mutilated or otherwise heavily injured, though it is still presented in a cartoon style.
The game does have themes of Suicide:
One of the final levels also has nooses in the background that the player cannot interact with. The boss of this level is a reanimated hanging body that attacks the player and the player must fight back in order to progress through the game. This depiction is also depicted in a cartoon style, but it can still be gruesome or disturbing to some players.
